The benefits of membership
The English Bridge Union (EBU) is funded through Universal Membership which means that all members of EBU-affiliated clubs automatically become members of the EBU, and we pay a small subscription amount to the EBU every time you play (covered by your table money)
When you join, you will receive a Member's Pack including a membership card and a new members' booklet. The EBU will then use your results to give you Masterpoints and enter you in the National Grading System, and you can play in EBU run events. You also receive their diary and (as long as you play at least 10 times in a year) their bi-monthly magazine with lots of information, hints and tips, quizzes etc.
You also automatically gain free membership of the Avon Contract Bridge Association (ACBA)
